The purpose of this study was to clarify the process by which young graduate from universities in Okinawa decide to work in the hospitality industry, particularly in the hotel industry. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with young interviewees, and the data obtained were analyzed using a "modified grounded theory approach <M-GTA>" . As a result, the following categories were generated for employment in the lodging industry: "perception of tourism," "constraint to employment in the lodging industry," "self-awareness," and "employment decision. Also, it can be clarified that the category such as "Career readiness for employment in the lodging industry" is related to internship programs offered by universities and industries, and experiences about customer service experience from part-time job, and personal discipline. Furthermore, the study shows the different tendency with respect to "vicarious experience" and "verbal persuasion" <e.g., Hackett & Betz, 1981>.

In this paper, the focus is on "dialogue" as one of the methods to activate internal organization. Dialogue is generally recognized as a method of person to person relationship building. However, because an organization is a group of people, it was hypothesized that application of dialogue to the organization might be possible. According to literature research, it was found that dialogue was also effective for activating organization. Furthermore, this paper analyzes the case of organizational transformation of ISUZU Motors, a leading automobile manufacturing company in Japan. Analysis shows that "dialogue" played a major role in the success of the change. So far, support by individuals through career counseling was shown to be effective in activating organizations. Individual support through counseling was also shown to be effective in activating organizations. In this paper, focusing on "dialogue," it is suggested that it could be applied to organizations and could be one of the effective methods for its activation.

Many theories for activating an organization have been proposed. For example, it is said that Internal Marketing and Learning Organizations are effective methods of revitalizing an organization. However, in order for these methods to function effectively, it is necessary for the people that constitute the organization to be activated. In order for a person to be in an active state, it is necessary to be healthy in physically and at the same time mentally. Rather, it can be said that the mental health level takes precedence over the physical health condition. In this paper, the mental healthiness of employees for hotel organizations is examined. As a case, citing a hotel in Japan, the measures that were in place and involvement of the management are shown, and the effects are examined. The research method first considered related previous research, theory about mental support, such as counseling theory, especially the theory of Person Centered Approach (PCA). Next, the concept of PCA was verified concerning introduction to the target organization by literature research, its background and process, and the degree of effectiveness. It is suggested that mental support for employees, who are regarded as personal problems in Japanese hotel organizations and not emphasized, are benefiting from revitalization of the organization.
