　View Summary

本稿の目的は，離島における自治体主導型学習支援事業の取り組みの現状と課題を明らかにすることにある。今日，離島地域では多くの自治体が学校外の学習支援を実施している。特に沖縄県北大東村「なかよし塾」は，地域の教育課題解決を目指す「学習支援センター」と認識されており，公教育の一端を担う重要な存在であると言える。これらは使用可能な財源が多様にあることで可能になっている。しかし，制度的には，財源や講師の確保と評価方法の確立が，実践的には，学校との連携・協働可能な関係構築と安心して学べる環境づくりが課題である。引き続き，制度と実践の両側面から，離島における持続的な学校外の教育保障を模索していく必要がある。
