Profile

Akie Uehara was born in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, in 1987. She received the B.Eng., M.Eng., Ph.D. degrees in all electrical systems engineering from University of the Ryukyus, Japan, in 2009, 2011, 2013, respectively. In 2011, she joined Okinawa Electric Power Company, Inc. She is currently an assistant professor at University of the Ryukyus. Her research interests include power system, renewable energy, energy management, microgrid, intelligent control, and model predictive control.
