    n psychodrama for university students, it was suggested that psychodrama can facilitate the formation of an affiliative group, that the role-reversal technique can broaden the diversity of perspectives in response to the egocentric tendencies characteristic of adolescence, and that enacting the future may foster a future-oriented understanding of the self. In psychodrama for older adults, it was discussed that enactment may enable participants to experience the truth of their past experiences and may elicit various forms of emotional expression that are not readily observed in everyday life.

    University students comprise a diverse population, ranging from those who require psychological support to those who do not. Therefore, when psychodrama is used as a form of support, it is difficult to clearly distinguish between the therapeutic and growth models. Furthermore, within the context of schools, including elementary schools, the effects of psychodrama have been suggested to include promoting understanding of others through role reversal and fostering awareness of the possibility of self-transformation through experiences as an auxiliary ego.

    As a result of introducing psychodrama into a residential seminar for university students aimed at personal development, it was found that a friendly and affiliative atmosphere was fostered, that participants developed positive expectations about forming new interpersonal relationships, that they experienced both a sense of group cohesion and a sense of individuality, and that their self-understanding deepened while a positive orientation toward the future was stimulated.

    As a psychological approach for older adults with dementia in a geriatric health services facility, psychodrama was employed. The results suggested that experiencing the role of protagonist in psychodrama may foster greater spontaneity among older adults with dementia and that interactions during psychodrama may provide staff members with opportunities to develop new perceptions of the older adults. It was also noted that, because older adults with dementia may sometimes exhibit unpredictable behaviors, it is important for multiple staff members to be involved in their care. Furthermore, because the length of stay in the facility is limited, there is a need for further consideration of case conferences and approaches to working as a team.
