    南極海の温暖化や大気中二酸化炭素濃度の増加に伴う海洋酸性化などの変化が、生態系に与える影響について解明することを目指す。平成22年12月〜本年1月にかけて東京海洋大学実習船・海鷹丸による南極航海に参加し、有殻翼足類（Limacina属）の飼育実験を通じて海洋酸性化に対する翼足類の影響について査定した。
